Comparison

GoodLeaf vs BisectHosting vs PebbleHost vs Sparked Host

The short answer

If you want the lowest monthly price per GB of RAM, PebbleHost Premium ($9.00 for 4GB) and Sparked Host Enterprise ($10.36) beat us, and all three competitors offer far more locations. If you want a named, current-generation CPU with dedicated cores — which matters for Minecraft because each world's main tick runs on one thread — GoodLeaf is $11.99/mo for 4GB with 2 dedicated Ryzen 9 9950X cores, the same price as BisectHosting's 4GB plan, which does not publish its CPU or core allocation.

Pricing and specifications last checked . Competitor figures are list prices taken from each provider's own public pricing page (or the pricing data that page loads from the provider's own domain) on the date above, monthly billing, in USD. Where a provider was running a promotion, the list price is shown rather than the promo price, since promos expire. Where a provider does not publish a figure, the cell reads "Not published" — we do not infer it.

Where GoodLeaf does and does not win

GoodLeaf disadvantage

GoodLeaf is not the cheapest at any tier.

At 4GB we charge $11.99 against PebbleHost Premium's $9.00 and Sparked Host's $10.36; at 8GB $24.99 against $18.00 and $20.72. At 16GB we are $44.99, cheaper than BisectHosting ($47.99) but above PebbleHost ($36.00) and Sparked Host ($41.44). If price per GB is your only criterion, choose one of them.

GoodLeaf disadvantage

Every competitor here has more locations.

BisectHosting publishes 21 locations, Sparked Host 11 cities and PebbleHost 7, against our 5 in the US and Amsterdam. If your players are in Asia-Pacific, South America or India, a closer server will beat any hardware advantage we have.

GoodLeaf advantage

GoodLeaf publishes dedicated cores on a named, current-generation CPU.

Every GoodLeaf plan runs on dedicated AMD Ryzen 9 9950X cores. PebbleHost names a Ryzen 9 9900X "or similar" with shared threads on Premium; Sparked Host names a Ryzen 9 7900 "or equivalent" with 3 vCPU at every Enterprise size; BisectHosting publishes neither a CPU nor a core count. Minecraft's main server tick is single-threaded per world, so per-core speed without contention is what keeps TPS at 20.

Context

Core counts are not directly comparable.

PebbleHost publishes 2, 4 and 5 threads at 4, 8 and 16GB, and Sparked Host 3 vCPU throughout. GoodLeaf gives 2, 4 and 6 dedicated cores. A thread or vCPU may be a shared hyperthread; a dedicated core is not shared with other customers. Neither competitor states whether its allocation is contended.

GoodLeaf advantage

GoodLeaf runs its own network.

We announce our own prefixes from AS216030, registered on PeeringDB as net/35360, both independently verifiable. None of the other three publish an ASN.

Context

DDoS protection is included everywhere; the difference is what kind.

All four include mitigation at no extra cost. Sparked Host names its upstream per location; PebbleHost publishes 800Gbps on Premium; BisectHosting does not name a provider. Ours runs through Path.net with more than 17 Tbps of capacity and Minecraft-specific Layer 7 filtering for bot joins and TCP floods.

How we compiled this

  • Only figures each provider publishes themselves are included. Nothing is inferred, estimated, or taken from a third-party review.
  • GoodLeaf's own column is generated from the same configuration file that drives our pricing page, so it cannot drift out of sync with what we actually charge.
  • Plans are matched by advertised RAM, the one specification all four providers publish. For PebbleHost we use the Premium line its Minecraft page shows by default; its cheaper Budget line runs older CPUs ($4.00 for 4GB at the time of checking). For Sparked Host we use the Enterprise tier.
  • We do not compare uptime, support quality, or reliability. We have no way to verify another provider's figures for those, and neither does anyone else.
  • We contacted none of these providers and have no commercial relationship with any of them. Apex Hosting and Shockbyte were considered but their pricing pages could not be retrieved for verification, so they are not included rather than quoted from memory.

Questions

Which Minecraft host is cheapest?
Of the four compared here, PebbleHost Premium is cheapest per GB ($9.00/month for 4GB, $2.25 per GB), followed by Sparked Host Enterprise ($10.36 for 4GB). GoodLeaf and BisectHosting are both $11.99 for 4GB. PebbleHost also sells a Budget line on older CPUs at $1 per GB.
Does a dedicated CPU core matter for Minecraft?
Yes. Minecraft (including Paper and its forks) runs each world's main tick on a single thread, so one fast, uncontended core does more for TPS than several shared ones. More RAM does not help if the tick thread is starved for CPU. Check whether cores are dedicated or shared before comparing prices by RAM.
Which of these hosts names its exact CPU?
GoodLeaf publishes the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X for every plan. PebbleHost names a Ryzen 9 9900X "or similar" for Premium, and Sparked Host a Ryzen 9 7900 "or equivalent" for Enterprise. BisectHosting does not name a CPU in its plan text.
Which Minecraft host has the most locations?
BisectHosting, with 21 published locations. Sparked Host lists 11 cities and PebbleHost 7. GoodLeaf has 5 (New York, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles, Amsterdam). Pick a host with a location close to most of your players.
How current are these prices?
All competitor figures were taken from each provider's own public pricing page on 2026-10-06, using list prices rather than promotional prices. Hosting prices change often. If you find a figure here that is out of date, email [email protected] and we will correct it.
